We genuinely care about every bunny we produce on its wellbeing and hope to ensure they all live out healthy and happy lives!

Though, all sales are final, we like to hear how every-bunny is doing and provide breeder support. 

Moonrise Valley Sale's Policy

    

All sales are conducted in accordance with Moonrise Valley Farm & Hold/Cancellation Policies, regardless of whether the buyer has read it or not. By inquiring about or purchasing a rabbit from Moonrise Valley Farm, you are agreeing to comply with BOTH policies in their entirety.

GENERAL

  • All sales are FINAL at the time of purchase, there will be no exceptions. There will be no refunds or exchanges.

  • As we only breed to improve our own herd and make pair ups based on what we feel we are lacking in our own or what we are looking for in a rabbit per the SOP, our rabbitry has first pick of all rabbits until they leave if a deposit is made we reserve the right to cancel at anytime and provide options to refund deposit or to place on a different rabbit of same cost upon your discretion.

  • We reserve the right to refuse any sale for any reason without explanation.

  • Rabbits are not allowed to leave until 8 weeks old, sometimes we will hold them longer. No rabbits will leave our possession until they are paid in full.

  • We do not stud our bucks to outside does. Please do not contact us with breeding inquiries. There are too many health risks and I refuse to do so.

  • If you buy more than one rabbit please know fighting and/or breeding will/can occur. We am not responsible for any injuries, disease, pregnancy or deaths that occur.

  • I do NOT allow anyone under the age of 18 to purchase rabbits. If you are under 18 you MUST have a parent or guardian contact us.

  • Pet Quality Rabbits from Moonrise Valley Farm are not intended to be bred, resold or rehomed. Please contact us first to discuss otherwise if you are unable to keep a rabbit purchased from us and we will do our best to assist on finding a new home or welcome the rabbit back into our care.

GUARANTEES

  • Our rabbits that leave our care are healthy to the best of our knowledge. Once the rabbit leaves our care, we unfortunately cannot make any health guarantee. We are also not responsible at any time for ANY vet or medical bills for your bunny once it leaves our rabbitry. We are not able to control what the rabbit is exposed to outside of our rabbitry or any problems that arise either directly or indirectly. There will be NO REFUNDS or replacements, this is a typical policy

  • We do NOT guarantee show placings, weight, fertility, or temperament. It is the buyer’s responsibility to know what they are looking for in a show or breeding animal and to confirm that the rabbit they are purchasing is free from disqualifications or is the type they expect. What you see at the time of purchase is solely at your own risk. Our opinion is just our personal opinion.

  • All of our rabbits are good tempered. However, temperament issues can occur or develop later at any age due to hormones or unforeseen factors. We handle our rabbits on a regular basis and breed for both type and disposition. We frequently expose our rabbits to noise and children and I will not sell any rabbit that shows any sign of aggression prior to sale. We cannot guarantee that a rabbit will never scratch, kick or bite. These are prey animals and it is in their nature to do so.

  • We sex our rabbits at least three times before they leave our farm. Nonetheless, rabbit gender cannot be 100% guaranteed. We can still make mistakes. Always double check the sex of your rabbit before accepting delivery.

  • Our rabbits often have line breeding in their pedigrees. Rabbits are designed to be linebred to a degree and any good stock will have some degree of line breeding in its history. This is different than people, dogs and cats etc.

PICKUP & TRANSPORT

  • We will consider using outside transport at this time pending the transporter’s policies. We do however reserve the right to refuse transport or use of a certain transport. Please contact us before purchase about which transporter you are considering before providing them any deposit or info for transport as there are a few. We are willing to allow an individual other than you to pickup the rabbit(s) as your proxy but we are released from any and all liability if they fail to sex or inspect the rabbit at time of pickup and am not responsible for its condition after it has left our possession.

  • We will personally deliver & meet for pick up within a 40 minute proximity near our location without extra mileage costs to the buyer.

  • If you are to pick up a rabbit we will meet outside of my home and only the rabbit chosen will be brought to the meeting location to maintain biosecurity.

  • If We are to be personally transporting a rabbit on a trip we am making the rabbit must be ‘Paid in Full’ prior to departure date and I am not responsible for the rabbit in the case that it is injured during transport. Every reasonable effort will be made to ensure their safe arrival but things happen out of our control. Upon pickup you are responsible to again inspect rabbit and acceptance of rabbit constitutes agreement that its in acceptable condition. Transport of great distance is stressful and we are not responsible for the rabbit after it has left our care.

  • You should always check your rabbit upon seeing it to check for sex, type, teeth, whatever you may be expecting. Make sure the rabbit is what you are looking for before making a final decision.

  • When coming to pick up a rabbit please bring a box or a carrier. It is your responsibility to transport your rabbit home safely. No transport cages/carriers/boxes will be provided unless previously discussed.

PEDIGREES & TATTOOS

  • If the rabbit has been fully named prior to or during sale, there will be NO changing or modifying pedigrees in any way. If you are purchasing a rabbit and want a specific name feel free to let me know. If I haven’t already used the name I am more than happy to use it as the rabbit’s formal name prior to pick up.

  • All pedigrees are to retain the prefix “Moonrise Valley Farm” unless another prefix is already in place. If the rabbit does not have a name on the pedigree after the prefix but lists it tattoo number you may rename the rabbit as long as the prefix “Moonrise Valley Farm” remains.

  • All purebred rabbits that are sold will have a tattoo/ear number to breeders (except for pet quality). This is for identification purposes and is needed when showing and listed on their pedigree. If you choose to purchase a rabbit as a pet and it has a tattoo just know this is not able to be removed and no pedigree will be given. If the rabbit you purchase does not have an ear number or is not sold with a pedigree I personally don't deem it potential show or breeding worthy and it should not be bred.

  • Pedigrees will never be provided to pet homes as we will not contribute to backyard breeders.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • Rabbits are very sensitive to sudden dietary changes. All buyers are provided with a baggie of transition feed to mix with their own feed once the rabbit gets to its new home. We currently are finding the best feed that fits our needs so feed may change from rabbit to rabbit at times but always ask if interested in what specific feed or supplements we maybe using. We feed a Mix or rotation of Alfalfa, Orchard, Oat and Timothy Hay. Occasionally some rabbits do have sensitivities and allergies to certain hay types.

  • All of our rabbits come with support, and as such buyers are encouraged to contact us with any questions or concerns about their rabbit at any point in the animal's life. We will do our best to assist with any questions or issues that may arise.

  • Should you at some point have to rehome or unable to keep a rabbit purchased from us, we ask that you contact us as we will welcome the rabbit back into our care to the best of our ability or we can help assist on finding a new home. We cannot offer a refund should a rabbit be given back into our care.
